Kevin & Kristy Housley took
over as landlord & landlady of the Black Bull in August
2008.
Kev runs front of house, while Kristy divides her time
between the kitchen, the bar & dog walking and being the
Oracle on the Location of Kevin’s Glasses, phones,
pants, socks, keys……
They both believe that the pub itself, it’s location and
it’s place in the local community make the Black Bull a
wonderful place to visit. Kevin & Kristy wish you a warm
welcome to this their cosy country pub.
Overlooking views of fields and
the church in the picturesque village of Market Overton,
The Black Bull is a wonderful base for a break in Rutland
and is an ideal spot for a pint of local beer and some
delicious home cooked food.
Rutland is famous for being a
small county with a great deal to offer - with a plethora
of places to visit and local activities that often are
known to a national forum. Such is the International
Bird Watching Fair at Egleton, the Burley Horse Trials,
many International Sailing Events at Rutland Water or
the world renowned gardens of Geoff Hamilton, made famous
from the BBC Gardeners World series.
Please see local activities section
for many of the seasonal attractions, whether you are
looking for participation, recreation or to simply find
somewhere to kick back and enjoy the natural surroundings
at its best.
